In this course we will review a number of ways that we can assist students with increasing their engagement in online courses. We will use the lens of the Community of Inquiry (CoI) framework to organize our learning into the categories of teacher presence, social presence, and cognitive presence. We will talk about ways to make a connection with students, between students, and between students and their learning. This is not a comprehensive survey of all methods that can be used to increase student engagement.
